For our company headquarters in Hamburg’s HafenCity, we are looking for you to start as soon as possible as
Workday Specialist (m/f/d)
Please note that this position is offered as a fixed-term role for 12 months.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
You are an important interface within our People & Communications organisation. You are the first point of contact for all matters relating to our HRM system Workday. With your in-depth understanding of Workday functionality, you drive the development of our HR applications and play a central role in implementing new processes and interfaces. In addition to strategic projects, you are the company’s go-to expert for all Workday-related questions: you gather requirements, prioritise and implement them to create efficient technical solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives with a high degree of autonomy and enjoys finding creative ways to solve problems for internal customers.
Your tasks in a nutshell:
Own Workday Development: You own the development of our Workday HR modules, ensuring that Workday remains an optimal system for our global HR activities.
Manage Releases and Updates: You take responsibility for and manage release changes and other system updates.
Implement Processes and Training: You implement new processes and conduct and document user training for various target groups.
Maintain Interfaces: You maintain and implement new interfaces to other systems (e.g. payroll providers, external time recording systems, IT databases such as Entra ID / Active Directory).
Integrate New Entities: You manage the technical integration of new subsidiaries into Workday.
Create Reports: You adapt existing and create new Workday custom reports.
Support Users: You respond to and process user enquiries and provide guidance, support, and training to users on Workday functionality.
What helps you to fulfil this role:
Workday Expertise: Proven hands-on experience working with Workday as an administrator (m/f/d), specialist (m/f/d), or consultant (m/f/d), ideally in a company with a significant international footprint.
Project Management: Experience in managing complex projects is beneficial.
Broad Module Knowledge: Deep knowledge of multiple Workday modules.
Roadmap Ownership: Experience in owning a roadmap system and managing backlogs as well as stakeholder priorities is a plus.
Language Skills: Fluency in German and in English.
With these characteristics, you fit perfectly with us:
Analytical and Solution-Orientated: You enjoy understanding complex HR and system requirements and translating them into pragmatic, scalable Workday solutions.
Service-Minded and Collaborative: You see yourself as a service provider, with good communication skills, for our internal technical and non-technical stakeholders and work closely and constructively with HR, IT and other departments.
Structured and Reliable: You work in a structured way, keep an overview even with multiple parallel topics, and reliably bring tasks to completion.
Ownership and Drive: You can work independently, manage priorities, and drive end-to-end initiatives.
Curious and Proactive: You stay up to date with Workday developments and proactively suggest improvements to our HR system landscape.
Even if you do not fulfil all of the above requirements, we encourage you to apply if you believe your experience will add value to our team.
Our offer to you:
Work-Life Balance: 38.75 working hours per week with 30 days of annual leave
Ability to Work Freely: Flexible working hours and individual remote work arrangements
Remuneration and Additional Benefits: Profit sharing, 13 salaries, holiday pay, travel allowance, etc.
Support in Various Life Situations: through our partner pme Familienservice, offering support in life crises as well as professional advice on work-related and personal matters, such as childcare, elder care, and more
Security and Provisions: Accident insurance also covering private accidents; excellent employer’s contribution to your company pension scheme; lifetime account with opportunities to save for sabbaticals or early retirement
Health: Subsidised membership in EGYM Wellpass, providing access to a wide range of sports facilities across Germany as well as online courses in fitness, nutrition and meditation; free access to the Headspace app; bicycle leasing
Learning and Development: Support on your individual development path with internal and external training opportunities
Networking: Networks within the company to establish cross-team and international connections; company events
Open Corporate Culture: A family-owned company with drive, a culture of lived tolerance, speak-up mentality and strong team spirit on the path to a green future
Modern Collaborative Office: with a subsidised employee restaurant, open-plan office concept and views of the Elbe River and the harbour
