About this opportunity:
Ericsson-s Cloud, Common and Solutions System & Technology organization provides architecture, systemization, and technology leadership across Core Network Solutions.
We are seeking an innovative Solution System Manager to lead design, deployment and system-level management of advanced network solutions focusing on automation and AI/ML integration.
In this role you will drive automation and AI/ML-enabled capabilities across the architecture - implementing automated workflows and orchestrating network functions to enhance efficiency and reliability, as well as leveraging AI/ML technologies to optimize network performance, streamline operations, and drive intelligent service delivery.
These interesting tasks and activities await you:
- Lead the adoption and integration of AI/ML algorithms, leveraging automation to enable predictive maintenance, optimize network performance, and orchestrate intelligent services.
- Design and implement technical strategies that combine AI/ML-driven analytics with automated workflows for effective anomaly detection, traffic management, and enhanced user experience.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement in system operations by integrating emerging automation technologies and AI/ML methodologies.
- Collaborate across product development units, system managers and senior experts to align system roadmaps, interfaces and validation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement through evaluation and adoption of new automation technologies and AI/ML methodologies.
- Ensure AI/ML deployments meet security, privacy and regulatory requirements, and follow best practices for explainability and responsible AI.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and operational runbooks.
You bring the following knowledge and experience:
- Required qualifications:
- Bachelor-s or Master-s degree (or equivalent experience) in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience developing, deploying, and managing AI/ML solutions for telecom network automation, including model training, validation, and integration into live network environments.
- Proficiency in using leading AI/ML frameworks and automation platforms to support network operations and intelligent orchestration.
- Experience implementing predictive analytics, anomaly detection and self-healing mechanisms in networked systems.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience working in cross-functional and agile teams.
- Ability to learn and adopt new automation and AI/ML tools and practices as technologies evolve.
- Preferred qualifications (nice to have):
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices and automation tools tailored for telecom and AI/ML system deployment
- Experience with secure, ethical, and privacy-preserving AI/ML deployment, including federated learning, explainable AI, and compliance with telecom regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple complex automation and AI/ML projects in dynamic, fast-evolving telecom environments.
- Experience with edge computing, IoT integration, network slicing and their intersection with AI/ML and automation.
- Experience in Telecommunication architecture, with success in implementing automation and intelligent network management systems.
- Knowledge of open-source automation and AI/ML tools, cloud-native architectures, and microservices for scalable network solutions.
- Ability to develop and implement AI/ML-based algorithms for real-time network monitoring, optimization, and automation.
