About the project
Your responsibilities
- Engage with the open source community to help shape the direction of networking in Kubernetes.
- Design and implement complex, multi-quarter product changes in the Cloud Networking and GKE Egress space without supervision.
- Mentor and grow team members, set technical direction and delegate engineering work to achieve broader team level goals.
- Drive engineering outcomes for the SWP product area.
Our requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with Kubernetes, Go, or micro-services.
- 3 years of experience in C++, Java, or Go, with a focus on high-performance, low-latency code or 2 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
Optional
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
