About the opportunity

As part of our Global Plastics Technologies Team in Hilden, you play a key role in managing the full life cycle of plastic components – from development through to serial production. This is a fixed-term position for a period of two years, offering the opportunity to take technical ownership of injection-molded components in a highly regulated, international environment. You collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and global suppliers to ensure robust, high-quality manufacturing solutions.

Your tasks include

  • Qualifying and validating tools for the production of plastic components
  • Preparing and coordinating initial sample inspection reports together with internal inspection teams or external service providers
  • Managing technical changes and deviations within a regulated environment
  • Performing technical evaluations and processing error and deviation reports
  • Supporting the transfer of technologies from development into serial production
  • Creating and updating 2D and 3D drawings of plastic components
  • Leading technical projects for injection-molded parts, including specifications, tool release, sampling, series launch, and capacity planning in collaboration with international suppliers

Your profile

  • Degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
  • Hands-on experience in tool qualification and tool release processes
  • Strong knowledge of plastics processing and tool technology; experience with injection molding of microfluidic components is a plus
  • Experience with change management in regulated environments (e.g. GMP, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries)
  • Background in industrialization and serial production of integrated assemblies, as well as proficiency with common CAD programs
  • Structured and independent working style, high self-motivation, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken, with willingness to travel internationally (mainly within Europe and North America)

What we offer

  • Bonus/Commission
  • Local benefits
  • Referral Program
  • Volunteer Day
  • Internal Academy (QIALearn)
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Hybrid work (conditional to your role)
