Senior Java Engineer

You'll work in a product-focused environment where clean code, data integrity, and system reliability really matter.As a consultant, you’ll collaborate with an international Agile team, fully remote from Poland, and contribute to the architecture and development of services that power complex financial workflows.Key responsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable, maintainable backend systems using Java and SpringAnalyze, refactor, and improve legacy code with a focus on performance and reliabilityCollaborate with architects, developers, and product owners to ensure technical excellenceApply patterns such as Outbox and Change Data Capture to improve consistency and communication between servicesDeliver high-quality code backed by strong fundamentals and modern testing practicesShare knowledge and support engineering best practices across the teamIdeal candidate profileWe are looking for multiple engineers with 8+ years of experience in Java development, including the following profiles:Profile 1:Deep expertise in Apache Spark and JavaHands-on experience with Kafka, AWS, KubernetesKnowledge in Change Data Capture (CDC) and Databricks is a plusDegree in Computer Science strongly preferred Profile 2:Enterprise development experience with Python and JavaExpert in Kubernetes, microservices, AWS, and banking protocols (SWIFT, EBICS, SFTP)Proven architect of large-scale financial systemsOutstanding leadership, mentoring, and communication skillsStrategic thinker with strong stakeholder management abilitiesDegree in Computer ScienceConditionsLocation: Remote from PolandContract type: B2BDuration: Until end of 2026 (with possible extension)Salary: 180-220 PLN/hBenefits: Private medical care, life insurance, Multisport card, training budgetRecruitment stepsCall with a KUBO recruiterInterview with the client (online, 75-90 minutes)Offer & onboarding
