SAP Basis Administration

Summary: The SAP Basis Administrator will be a key member of our SAP BASIS team in Pune, India, responsible for handling BAU activities and managing our diverse SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of technical expertise administering SAP systems hosted in AWS or Azure, and have experience managing SAP on Linux as well as a good understanding of SAP HANA and SAP ASE (Sybase). Hands-on experience with SAP BTP and SAP Datasphere will be considered as a plus.Main Responsibilities:* Handle BAU SAP Basis activities, like system copies (SAP Refreshes), system monitoring (availability, performance, and capacity), troubleshooting, configurations, patchings, etc.* System performance analysis and tuning, HA/DR setup and monitoring.* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues affecting our SAP systems or Satellite Apps, having the ability to navigate through different applications, databases, and operating systems.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SAP projects, including implementations, migrations, and upgrades.* Perform system health checks, help define and enforce SAP security and all audit-related controls, capacity planning, and performance optimization.* Apply support packages, kernel upgrades, and security patches.* Document technical procedures, system configurations, and best practices.Key Requirements:* At least 5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration.* Proficient with SAP systems hosted in AWS or Azure.* Experience managing SAP on Linux.* Good understanding of SAP HANA and SAP ASE (Sybase).Nice to Have:* Hands-on experience with SAP BTP.* Familiarity with SAP Datasphere.* Relevant SAP, Cloud and OS/DB courses, workshops, certifications.* Awareness of the latest SAP technologies, tools, and best practices.Other Details:* Location: Pune, India.* Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.* Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently as well as in a team.
