Your tasks:

• Conduct Risk Engineering surveys for the power sector (erection, commissioning and operation)
• Implementation of efficient loss prevention measures with the development of effective risk management procedures at client level
• Develop and implement HRC standards, guidelines, and risk engineering tools
• Evaluate loss potential in accordance with HRC guidelines
• Desktop reviews of external risk reports as requested by underwriters
• Provide reports in a timely manner in agreement with underwriters and in accordance with HRC Risk Engineering guidelines
• Develop and provide training sessions for clients, underwriters and claims
• Attend client presentations

Your profile:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience working within the power industry or experience as a power risk engineer in the insurance industry
• Appropriate formal engineering qualifications (MSc or PhD), preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Professional membership of engineering associations would be advantageous
• Good knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance of turbines as well as good understanding of international engineering standards
• Good knowledge or experience in renewable energy would be an additional advantage
• International experience or working with different cultures is preferred
• Highly motivated personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• English (min. level C1), further foreign language skills desirable
