Microsoft Email Security Engineer - RFP-246280-1

Summary: This role focuses on providing expert technical support for Microsoft Defender for Office 365 to enhance email security and assist users while collaborating with various teams for effective incident management.Main Responsibilities:Technical Support: Provide Tier 2/3 support for Microsoft Defender for Office 365, including incident response, threat investigation, and user assistance.Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve security incidents, alerts, and service requests related to email and collaboration security.Monitoring: Continuously monitor security dashboards, alerts, and reports to identify and respond to threats in a timely manner.Configuration & Optimization: Assist with the configuration, tuning, and optimization of Defender for Office 365 policies and rules to enhance security posture.User Education: Support end-users and internal teams with guidance on safe email practices and Defender for Office 365 features.Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, compliance, and business teams to ensure effective incident management and alignment with organizational policies.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Microsoft Defender for Office 365 enhancements and industry best practices to improve support and security effectiveness.Key Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in technical support, IT security, or security operations roles.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and Microsoft 365 security tools.Strong understanding of email security threats and mitigation strategies.Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, etc.).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Customer-oriented mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Nice to Have:Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-500, SC-200, or equivalent).Experience with security incident response and investigation.Knowledge of scripting or automation (PowerShell, etc.).Experience supporting users in a multinational or regulated environment.Other Details:Location: PuneTeam Structure: Collaborative work with IT, security, compliance, and business teams.Project Context: Ongoing support for Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
