Introduction

The International Bowel Ultrasound (IBUS) Group is a not-for-profit association with more than 2000 members worldwide. Founded by a group of international experts in bowel ultrasonography and inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), IBUS aims to promote the high-quality performance and global adoption of intestinal ultrasound in IBD. The organisation has established a comprehensive international education program for gastroenterologists.

Our Educational Events team is looking for an Events Assistant (working student) to join our Berlin office.

Tasks

  • Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of workshops, virtual meetings, and networking events
  • Logistics & Operations: Assist with venue research and booking, and coordinate with vendors and service providers (e.g. catering, audiovisual equipment)
  • Participant Support: Provide online support for participants, speakers, and trainers
  • Administrative Support: Help track and manage event expenses, assist with participant invoicing and payment follow-ups, and maintain accurate records and databases
  • Marketing Support: Assist in preparing promotional content for social media and newsletters
  • Post-Event Activities: Support feedback collection, analyze event outcomes, and contribute to event reporting
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with additional projects as needed

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program
  • Valid right to work in Germany
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); basic German or additional languages are an advantage
  • Some practical experience in the field of event planning or customer service.
  • Reliable and customer service-oriented
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
