DevOps Engineer

About the Role:We are looking for a DevOps engineer with a passion for infrastructure as code. We create tools used by all of Aura and we take pride in building at a massive scale. We help with every aspect of the software development lifecycle within Aura, and are thought leaders guiding teams to a consistent and stable future.We write code! We are tool agnostic, but expect you to be able to read code and create solutions using codeWe often generate code with AI, but this is a cybersecurity company so you will be expected to know what your code does before you deploy itWe are a fully remote team, and value ownership and proactive communicationWe are growing and want to increase our reach and velocityDay to Day:Create tools for use by all of Aura in multiple languages and paradigms. EG Serverless / Containers. Doesn’t mean you have to have experience with all of these, but a willingness to learn, and a willingness to dive inInvestigate better ways to enable teams to deploy and manage networks and product deploymentsAssist with deployments using Terraform and GH ActionsDebug cloud issues when development teams need assistanceOffer design assistance for teams trying new stuff. Help offer vision and strategic optimization to ensure we move forward quickly, and securelyWhat you bring to the table:5+ years of experiencePassion for cloud computing and a helpful and curious attitudeExperience writing Infrastructure as codeExperience with any programming languageAn eye for detailA willingness to engage with multiple teams to solve problemsOwnershipIt would be great if you also had:Experience with Serverless or Containerized DeploymentsLogging and Monitoring strategies at scaleEspecially Cloudwatch and GrafanaExperience with Python or TypescriptExperience with a data lake or large data ETL infrastructureExperience optimizing costs in cloud
