DevOps Engineer

Introduction & Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at Volkswagen Financial Services. With over 5 years of experience in platform engineering and a deep understanding of container-based platforms, you will play a pivotal role in designing, automating, and securing our infrastructure. Your expertise with Red Hat, Kubernetes, Docker, and automation tools will drive innovation and improve our operational capabilities.Main Responsibilities:Analyze and define platform requirements for VWFS applications.Plan, deploy, and configure Kubernetes Clusters and container-based platforms.Design and implement automated software deployment and distribution processes.Perform containerization of applications and legacy systems.Implement security best practices for platform services.Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth go-live transitions.Maintain system documentation and provide knowledge transfer to managed service providers.Key Requirements:5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering and container platforms.Experience in Red Hat, Kubernetes, Docker, and Java (Oracle, OpenJDK, JBoss EAP/Tomcat).Automation skills with Ansible, Python, Bash, PowerShell, and YAML.Knowledge on Flux and Kustomizations, RBCS, NetPols.Experience with CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, Concourse, Ansible Automation Platform, Artifactory).Knowledge of ITIL v3 processes and service management frameworks.Hands-on experience with Load Balancers, TLS Certificates, Firewall Rules, Networking Zoning.Expertise in monitoring and logging tools like Dynatrace, Grafana.Ability to troubleshoot network and infrastructure issues in complex enterprise environments.Experience with Confluence and Jira.Proficiency in written and spoken English.Nice to Have:Experience in a multicultural environment.Familiarity with performance evaluation and career management methodologies.Other Details:This position offers a long-term contract with a competitive salary package, including private health insurance, life insurance, meal allowances, and performance-related bonuses.
