What is your Day to Day Mission:

As a Development Engineer (m/f/d), you are a key function of our Production Engineering Team and will implement your own ideas in the development of new test benches and production optimizations. With our world-class team, currently consisting of six team members, you will play a central role in pushing the boundaries of drone technology.

You will work closely with stakeholders from production and development to bring production to the next level and enable our rapid growth. By optimizing production and developing new testing capabilities, you will support Quantum Systems in its mission to become the benchmark for aerial data collection solutions with unmanned aerial systems (sUAV).

• Development and implementation of test stands for production and our suppliers.
• Execution of optimization projects in production.
• Creation of work instructions and test definitions for production.
• Root cause analysis of production issues.
• Development of tests in LabView/TestStand for components and assemblies.
• You act as the interface between the development departments and production.

What you bring to the team:

• You have completed a degree or vocational training in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a similar qualification.
• You have experience in the development of test stands, their design, or general manufacturing experience.
• Ideally, you have experience with programming languages such as Python, LabView, or NI TestStand.
• You are personally interested in model making, drones, electronics, 3D printing, the maker scene, or similar fields.
• Your open, communicative, friendly, and competent demeanor makes it easy for you to be recognized as an internal expert.
• You are highly self-motivated and independently drive your area of responsibility forward.
• Communicating in English and German is second nature to you.
