Our aspiration - Your challenge
- Strengthen the completeness and reliability of the Group’s Data Catalog (Data Galaxy) by conducting in depth analyses of data systems, governance frameworks, and business usage across the organization
- Develop, maintain, and expand KPIs, dashboards, and steering materials to effectively communicate progress and insights to business units, management and data governance committees, enabling informed decision making and actionable follow ups
- Co design and structure group wide data policies in collaboration with IT teams, using POCs to validate approaches and ensure sustainable improvements to data quality
- Leverage the advanced tools available to drive governance efforts, act as an early tester for new technologies, and provide feedback to enhance adoption and reliability
- Gather and synthesize user feedback regarding data accessibility and usability, and translate it into clear, actionable specifications for IT teams to enhance and stabilize the Data Catalog
- Partner with DPO, IRM, and IT teams to build a unified approach to data accessibility, accountability, and regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with Group wide standards
- Represent the Data Office in strategic discussions on major data transformation initiatives, such as scaling self service BI and maturing the Group’s Data Platform operating model
- Become a Champion in data initiatives across the organization by promoting best practices, driving awareness, and acting as a visible representative of the Data Office
- Guide business teams toward the right data resources, tools, and governance principles, enabling them to become more autonomous and effective in their daily use of data
Your qualifications - Our requirements
- Master degree in business administration, economics, business informatics or computer science
- Strong interest in the financial and banking sector, with relevant experience
- Experience in one of the following areas is appreciated: data analytics, data governance, financial analysis, consulting or change management
- Strong capacity for autonomy and initiative to lead projects and communicate a clear action plan also to senior audiences.
- Ability to convince and simplify technical subjects for business or IT audiences through the production of high-quality PowerPoint presentations
- Advanced data processing skills (SQL, Python or Excel VBA).
- First hands-on experience with a Data Platform (Snowflake, DataBricks, MS Fabric) is a plus
- Previous experience working with a data catalog (e.g., DataGalaxy, Collibra, Purview, or similar) is a strong plus and will help the candidate ramp up more quickly
- Fluent in German and English, French is a plus
