Data Engineer

OverviewThe Data Engineer will build core data components, templates, and ingestion pipelines for our Cloud Data Platform. This role includes onboarding multiple countries and creating reusable building blocks that support local data needs. The preferred location is Riga, Poland; remote work is also acceptable.What we offer: Full Remote roleLong Term B2B ContractRate: 170 pln/h+VATKey Responsibilities:Build reusable “building blocks” and platform components for onboarding new countries.Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake.Migrate data from legacy sources to the new cloud platform.Integrate country-level data sources into the centralized Azure environment.Implement orchestration workflows (Apache Airflow or similar).Optimize SQL transformations and improve pipeline performance.Work closely with ML teams and support data preparation for ML workloads.Required SkillsStrong experience with Databricks, Delta Lakehouse, DBT, Git.Knowledge of Azure storage services: ADLS, Azure Blob Storage.Expertise in ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development.Advanced SQL, including performance tuning.Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.Strong PySpark development skills.Experience with data migration projects.
