This is a high-trust leadership role for a technical visionary who understands the market, can scale a startup, and connects business outcomes with technology choices. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and hands-on execution, ensuring our team stays focused on the goals that move the needle.What you will doTechnical Strategy: Own the technical roadmap and architecture across the entire product (UE5 plugin + Python backend/AI services + Web stack for user facing interfaces).Strategic Leadership: Co-lead the company with the CEO, translating business vision into executable milestones and measurable outcomes.Engineering Excellence: Set and enforce high engineering standards (quality, reviews, testing, release discipline) to ensure speed without sacrificing reliability.Team Scaling: Lead, mentor, and grow our engineering team; own the hiring and onboarding processes for future talent.Global Engagement: Represent Ludus AI in front of investors, enterprise clients, and global partners (gamedev and beyond).Risk Management: Mitigate technical debt and manage security, performance, and long-term maintainability.Culture Architect: Foster a healthy, ambitious, and transparent engineering culture.Hand-on development: When required, you are not afraid to get hands-on with a variety of different challenges in multiple coding languages.RequirementsExpertise: 7+ years of experience in technical leadership, with mandatory expertise in Unreal Engine and a solid background in AI and Python environments.Leadership Track Record: Proven experience leading engineering teams and shipping complex production software.Architectural Vision: Strong system design skills across both product logic and scalable infrastructure.Hands-on Mindset: Willingness to 'get into the trenches' when needed, especially in our lean, high-speed environment.Startup DNA: Experience in scaling teams and processes from early stage to growth.Business Orientation: Ability to make difficult trade-offs to ensure product-market fit and business wins.Communication: Exceptional English (C1/C2) is a must – you will work daily with global investors and industry giants.
