Project description:We are building a next-generation Installation Management System designed to fully digitalise and streamline installation, replacement, and servicing processes for metering devices such as water meters, heat meters, heating cost allocators, and concentrators.The solution will replace paper-based workflows with end-to-end digital processes, including electronic protocols, automated reporting, and real-time monitoring of work orders. It will consist of:A centralised web portalA native Android mobile application used by field techniciansThe system will be fully integrated with an existing Reading System. It will serve as the single source of truth for device and structural data, improving data consistency and operational efficiency across the organisation.Tech stack:Native Android (Java, Kotlin, Android SDK).NET, React.js / Next.jsDatabase: PostgreSQLCloud: Microsoft AzureRequirements:Strong experience in Android development using Java and KotlinSolid knowledge of Android SDK and Android StudioExperience building native Android applicationsHands-on experience with offline data handling and synchronisation, camera APIs and barcode scanningUnderstanding of mobile performance and memory constraintsAbility to work with applications requiring at least 100 MB of storagePolish: Proficiency at B2 level or higher is required.English: Proficiency at B1 level is required.Nice to Have:Experience with enterprise or field-service applicationsFamiliarity with backend systems and APIsUnderstanding of security concepts in mobile applicationsMain responsibilities:Develop and maintain a native Android application using Java and KotlinImplement offline-first functionality with reliable data synchronisationIntegrate device features such as: camera (photo documentation), barcode scanning, and electronic signaturesEnsure application compatibility with Android 9.0 and aboveOptimise performance and stability for field usageCollaborate with backend and frontend teams to ensure smooth system integrationContribute to improving usability for non-technical field users
