The following hotels are all operated under InterContinental Hotels Group brands and include 5 Full service and 8 Select-service hotels. It is a very well-balanced portfolio, geographically, with the vast majority of the assets located in the top destinations across Germany.

Your tasks

The Director of Sales is a senior leadership role reporting to Operations Director - Westmont Hospitality Group, Mathias Busch. This position will focus on driving and overseeing all sales activities for the portfolio. The objective of this role is to further develop all commercial activities in order to achieve and possibly exceed company revenue targets, while strengthening and optimising all commercial processes. S/he will be responsible for all commercial activities and strategies within the portfolio with a sales team distributed between HQ and hotels.

The DOS will work in close collaboration with the Director of Operations, the hotel GMs, Property Sales Teams and Westmont Head Office team in London to ensure local, area, and corporate strategies are fully synchronized and aligned.

Functional Know-How

Must have multi-property sales experience in a city centre operation with multiple competitors

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience as a commercial leader and current experience in a leading multi-property sales function with an

international, branded hotel group

  • Fluent English and German both written and spoken, not negotiable
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant local German and international markets
  • Sound ability and knowledge to develop standards of operations and strategic processes
  • Strong client relationship skills and account management experience at all levels
  • Strong strategic approach and ability to develop and execute strategic action plan
  • Strong knowledge of MICE, Transient and Corporate segments
  • Analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends
  • Being able to articulate the sales strategy when dealing with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills
  • Proven leadership skills including management, development, and motivation of the team to achieve their objectives
  • Proven achievements working in a competitive market
  • Proactive, independent, decisive
  • A positive, motivated, and hands-on approach

Highly desirable skills and qualifications

  • Qualified to degree level in a hospitality related discipline
  • Previous or current experience working with IHG brands or Hilton Brands are preferred.

The portfolio head office is based at Hilton Dusseldorf and this role will require the individual to travel approximately 25% of their working time.

· 100'000 - 130'000 Euro annual gross Salary / depending on job history and qualification

· Annual Bonus of up to 20% of annual gross salary.

· Company Car as well for private use

· Full petrol expenses

· 30 days paid annual vacation in addition to 10 to 12 annual paid bank holidays
