Role description We are seeking a dynamic and innovative R&D Technology and Science Specialist to join our Research & Development team in the flavour industry. This role is responsible for technology development, process innovation and driving scientific research, to support new flavour creation, product applications, and technical solutions aligned with customer needs and market trends.

Your Mission
Research & Development
Develop and implement new technologies to enhance flavour delivery systems (e.g., encapsulation, emulsions, controlled release).
Investigate novel ingredients, raw materials, and processing techniques for functional flavour benefits.
Conduct advanced scientific research to support flavour creation and development, focusing on sensory properties, stability, and interaction with food/beverage matrices.
Innovation & Technology Scouting
Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies and scientific trends relevant to flavour development and delivery.
Collaborate with external partners including universities, research institutes, and suppliers to bring innovation into the business.
Work closely with process engineers to scale up lab-scale solutions to pilot and commercial production.
Technical Support & Collaboration
Provide expert technical support to flavourists, application scientists, and customers in product development projects.
Support cross-functional teams (marketing, regulatory, production) with technical insights and scientific data.
Ensure robust documentation and reporting of research findings, formulations, and experimental results.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s or Ph.D. in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
3–7 years of experience in R&D within the flavour, food, beverage, or fragrance industry.
Strong background in flavour chemistry, sensory science, or delivery system technology.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with formulation, encapsulation, or process technology is a plus.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work in cross-disciplinary environments.
Curiosity-driven with a passion for scientific discovery and innovation.
Experience with agile work and modern project management and documentation tools (Jira, Confluence) is a plus.
