The Local Head of FMCG Germany manages a team of Finance Managers and Financial Controllers to ensure fund financial performance, management of all the financial aspects of fund vehicles and delivery of fund reporting in accordance with client, regulatory and internal requirements. He / she manages the performance and development of the FMCG team members in line with the common management objectives. In addition, he / she provides clear leadership to the team, and is delivery focused.

Key Accountabilities
Accountable for the overall financial management of funds / separate accounts within his / her scope of responsibility:
Manage the investment structure including notably cash management, maintenance of the tax structure and compliance with tax obligations, preparation and validation of financial statements
Oversee the preparation of cash forecasts and capital call / distributions determination
Ensure the execution of financing strategies (if relevant) and execution of currency / interest rate hedgings
Make sure that financing covenants are being monitored
Assure Compliance with fund / mandate documentation
Monitor the Fund performance, including the preparation and review of fund cash flows (actuals and forecasts),
Accountable towards Fund Management and Asset Management regarding all controlling subjects and production, including:
Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of productions of external service providers (Fund Admnistrator, Corporate Manager, Property Manager and Tax Advisor) and of FMCG teams (before sending out to internal or external clients). This may include acting as a director of corporate entities
Assess the external provider’s performance, effectiveness of their management processes and cost efficiency of the service. Ensure compliance with defined governance and processes
Assure the availability and quality of data in the global IT system
Support in the selection, appointment and on-boarding of local service providers
Provide a synthesis of real estate Key Performance indicators (through ad hoc reportings)
Oversee actuals (German GAAP and IFRS), budgets and plans as well as e.g. deviation analysis and reportings at fund and asset level,
Ensure the provision of client reportings
Harmonise controlling and reporting processes
Act as the main point of contact for external and internal clients and take appropriate actions to address (adhoc) client requests
Accountable for providing leadership towards the team and the firm:
Hire and retain talented teams comprising complementary profiles
Define team objectives and deliver on-going feedback and annual appraisals, allocate tasks between all team members
Communicate internally (within the team) and externally for appropriate decisions
Energise the team in a changing environment
Be able to multi task and deal with high workload, even under pressure
Participate in and drive transversal projects if requested
Support AXA IM Real Assets’ Global projects. This may include
Lead one or several workstreams or contributing to those
Develop a constructive collaboration with other local teams to contribute to business and Operations processes improvements,
Share best practices with representatives from other countries, and
Act as change agent within Germany resp. the business line
Accountable for performing other tasks and projects in the context of FMCG as assigned from time to time
Accountable for reinforcing sound and effective risk management in line with the Risk and Compliance Objectives & Measures Framework
Key Interfaces
Education/Qualifications
Degree in Business Administration (Controlling or Finance) or a comparable qualification
Experience
Proven experience in fund management and / or fund financial management with knowledge / understanding of pan-European (real estate) fund structures and management
Proven experience in audit, fund accounting, fund controlling and financial control in the fund business, ideally in the European real estate industry
Proven experience in Real Estate, Asset Management and/or Project Management would be a plus
Successful in managing teams
Knowledge and Skills
Confident in MS Office
Proven skills in accounting (IFRS), tax and cash flow modelling
Fluent in English & German (orally and in writing)
