In the Team Central Customer Account, we are laying the foundation for this with the Mercedes me ID:
Users of our vehicles and services contact Mercedes-Benz via a large number of different channels online (web, vehicle, smartphone apps) and offline (dealership, call centers) and leave behind data that has a significant influence on our business relationship from prospective customer to customer. Recognizing customers and prospects using a cross-channel method, obtaining their consent to data collection and encouraging them to submit further data are strategically important prerequisites for building a meaningful customer profile, personalized dialogue, long-term customer loyalty, customer satisfaction and thus for the future sales success of Mercedes-Benz.
The Mercedes me ID is already the leading access point for all digital channels for our customers and interested parties worldwide – a "single sign-on" for the digital services of Mercedes-Benz. The "Central Customer Account" team has set itself the goal of further expanding this access to enable a seamless customer experience in digital and physical retail. In addition, we are responsible for the successful design and implementation of a central customer database as the basis of the customer account. This is to be made available to all relevant stakeholders to enable the best possible customer experience in the future both offline and online.
