We are looking for a Structural Dynamics, Acoustics and Vibration Engineer to join the Acoustics and Vibration Team belonging to the Centre of Competence Flight Physics (Air Power Engineering).

Your tasks

TASKS

The mission is to design, analyse, certify, qualify, maintain into service and ensure the continued airworthiness of all the airvehicles developed within the company. Functions and Responsibilities of the Acoustics and Vibration Domain are Equipment and Store Qualification, External and Internal Noise Design and Development, Ground Test and Laboratory Activities, Support of Flight Test Campaigns.

Main Aircraft Programmes are Eurofighter, Tornado, Eurodrone and FCAS. You work as a Structural Dynamics, Acoustics and Vibration Engineer (f/m/d) and the main tasks and responsiblilities will include:

• Define, perform and evaluate acoustic and vibration tests: in flight, on ground and in laboratory.
• Support the qualification of aircraft systems to mechanical environments, including vibration, shocks and acoustics. Define mechanical requirements for system installation on aircraft. Evaluate experimental evidence based on qualification tests.
• Develop passive and active noise and vibration control solutions for existing and future aircraft.
• Develop and validate numerical models in relation with noise generation, propagation and transmission, as well as structural dynamic response to acoustic and vibratory loads.
• Develop and support competitive, innovative, mature and safe air vehicles, fulfilling regulatory requirements, customer expectations and business challenges related to noise and vibration.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in aerospace at least a master's / diploma course or in the field of acoustics and vibration at least a master's / diploma course
• Experience in Aerospace Engineering or similar is mandatory
• Experience in the field of Acoustics and Vibration is required
• Experience with Structural Dynamic Testing and with Data Acquisition, Data Handling, Data Processing and Analysis is needed
• Knowledge in Definition of Vibration Environments and Knowledge of Vibration Qualification Processes is a must have
• Knowledge in Modal Testing and Analysis should be available
• Experience with MIL-STD-810 would be an advantage
• IT: MS Office at least in detail. Special knowledge, Basic Knowledge of Linux and experience with Matlab is required
• Language skills: English at least business fluent, German knowledge would be a plus
