This position is part of Novanta’s Advanced Surgery business unit. Specialized in the field of Minimally Invasive Medicine, WOM develops devices and accessories so that doctors can operate with small cuts. We produce Cameras, Insufflators, Medical Pumps, and tubing that makes diagnosis and treatment easier for everyone. Our insufflators and pump systems dilate cavities in the body and turn previously complicated surgeries into minor procedures. Together with customers, doctors, and technical experts, our teams continuously search for new ways to innovate.

Your tasks

Summary:

The Working Student will be responsible for the execution and evaluation of quality and functional tests of insufflation and pump hoses (transport tests, functional tests, tensile strength tests, shelf life tests, air bubble leak test etc.) including documentation in English language.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analysis and correction of software modules in case of simple errors or quality problems
• Creation of software documentation
• Creation and execution of software tests
• Collaboration in the construction of functional models/prototypes

Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies:

• Bachelorant/Masterant Medical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering /Electrical Engineering
• Good technical understanding
• Logical and analytical work
• Knowledge in the documentation of scientific results
• Very good knowledge of English
• Quality conscious, trustworthy and reliable
• Structured and systematic way of working
• Team player
• Communicative skills
