We are looking for ambitious graduates and early professionals who are open and willing to take on new perspectives and drive the change.

As a Trainee Purchasing & Lifecycle Management Van , you will work at the interface of Purchasing, Engineering, Cost Planning, Production and Project Management, gaining insights into the entire vehicle lifecycle for Mercedes-Benz Vans. You will support future and ongoing series projects from strategy and supplier nomination to tendering, awards, change management and phase-out. 

Your tasks include coordinating cross-functional activities, contributing to procurement strategy, and developing processes and tools for collaboration with internal partners and suppliers. You will ensure timely, cost-efficient supplier nominations and changes, identify risks and synergies, support localization, and facilitate knowledge transfer across global production sites, especially in China. 

Qualifications

• An above-average degree (master, MBA or doctorate) in Engineering, Business Administration, or comparable course of study

• Maximum of 3 years of professional experience (apart from studies)

• At least 3 months of experience abroad (study, international internship, work and travel)

• Strong affinity for digital technologies and enthusiasm for future trends

• We value applicants who show a strong sense of social responsibility

• Excellent English skills (C1) and German (B2)

• You are eager to shape the transformation at Mercedes-Benz and take responsibility

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with exceptional analytical abilities

• You demonstrate strong teamwork skills who motivates others to achieve their goals
