About the Role

At tesa, we create solutions that make a difference — for our customers and for our people. As Team Leader Record‑to‑Report (R2R), you will take on a pivotal leadership role within our Shared Services Center, ensuring high‑quality and reliable accounting services for around 30 European entities.

You will lead and develop a motivated team, foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement, and drive the operational excellence of our R2R processes. Together with local accounting and controlling teams, you will help secure accurate financials and support key group processes in a dynamic and global environment.

What You Will Do

• Lead, coach, and develop an R2R team, creating a collaborative and performance‑oriented culture.
• Oversee end‑to‑end R2R operations, including postings, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.
• Ensure accurate and timely closings (monthly, quarterly, annual) in line with global policies and best practices.
• Safeguard compliance with IFRS, HGB, tax regulations, and internal controls (RCM).
• Partner closely with Group Accounting, Controlling, auditors, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure high‑quality outcomes.
• Identify optimization opportunities and drive process standardization using modern technologies (e.g., S/4HANA, Fiori, AI developments).
• Monitor R2R performance, define ambitious KPI targets, and drive continuous improvement to strengthen process quality, efficiency, and transparency.

Das ist Ihr Profil

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/ACCA/Bilanzbuchhalter certification is a plus.
• 7–10 years of professional experience in Accounting/GL/Record‑to‑Report, including 5+ years leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, HGB, and SAP FI/CO; experience with consolidation tools is an advantage.
• A clear and confident communication style paired with the ability to build trustful stakeholder relationships.
• An analytical, solution-oriented mindset and fluency in English and German.
