Team Lead (f/m/x) EMEA Master Data Governance
As the Team Lead (f/m/x) EMEA Master Data Governance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enforcing master data processes across our EMEA region. This leadership role requires strong collaboration skills, strategic thinking, and deep expertise in master data governance. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring high data quality, compliance, and alignment with global and local business needs.
Your responsibilities
Lead and manage a regional team of Master Data Governance Specialists and Data Stewards
Design, implement, and govern master data processes across EMEA, including material registration and maintenance
Define, establish, and enforce unified master data standards, definitions, and compliance frameworks across affiliates and functions
Act as the primary point of contact for MDG-related matters within the EMEA region
Collaborate closely with Legal, Regulatory, SCM Operations, and other key stakeholders, as well as global counterparts
Monitor and report on data quality KPIs and compliance metrics; drive continuous improvements
Ensure master data operations align with both business needs and legal requirements
Support S/4HANA initiatives, including migration, testing, configuration, and system optimization
Lead and contribute to digital transformation and automation initiatives, including AI-enabled solutions for master data operations.
Review and approve MDG requests and oversee ongoing data quality checks to maintain data integrity
Promote consistent adoption of data governance principles across the region
Your profile
Extensive experience in master data management, data governance, or related data management roles within multinational organizations
Strong understanding of master data concepts, data quality frameworks, and governance processes
Proven leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring cross-functional, regionally distributed teams
Solid experience working with MDG systems and SAP S/4HANA (hands-on experience preferred)
Capability to design and implement governance strategies, policies, and operational processes
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance technical, legal, and business perspectives
Strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and high attention to detail
Continuous improvement mindset with experience in driving automation and digital transformation initiatives
Effective communicator with a structured and transparent working style
