We are now inviting applications for a full-time PYP Coordinator to join us as we embark on our next chapter.

MIS currently offers a model combining the local German Authority curriculum with Cambridge International, and we are actively working toward gaining PYP accreditation.

We are looking for a dedicated leader to design systems, streamline processes, and guide the school community through this transition.

Our IB Diploma Programme is already very successful and deeply respected. We are committed to extending this culture of excellence into the earlier years-ensuring consistency, rigor, and continuity from Primary through to Diploma years.

Your tasks

The PYP Coordinator will work across all sites (Heidelberg, Mannheim, Viernheim / main campus and Viernheim) and will play a pivotal role in coordinating and aligning practice school-wide and developing the curriculum and teaching and learning.

This is a full-time leadership position with responsibility for bringing coherence, visionary planning, and practical implementation to our PYP rollout and integration.

What we hope you will bring:

• A genuine passion for international education, inquiry-based learning, and educational change
• Experience with PYP or equivalent inquiry / primary frameworks
• Experience as a teacher and supporting the development of children from diverse backgrounds
• Strong systems thinking, project management, and collaborative leadership skills
• Ability to lead, coach, and inspire teams across different sites and cultures
• Courage, flexibility, and a growth mindset-ready to shape a program and grow with it
