YOUR TASKS:
The Head of Product Homologation and Compliance (m/f/d) is responsible for leading the homologation department and overseeing all aspects of project quality management. The HPHC ensures that products meet regulatory compliance requirements and quality standards throughout their lifecycle, from development through production and market release. The HPHC reports to the Development, Homologation and Engineering Director and mainly collaborates with the quality, development and engineering teams.
Leadership and Management
Lead, mentor, and manage the homologation and project quality management teams
Develop and implement strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality standards
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Production, Purchasing, and Global Quality and Product marketing to align quality and compliance objectives
Establish departmental goals, KPIs, and performance metrics
Homologation
Oversee the homologation process for all products to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and international regulatory standards
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global regulatory requirements and ensure the company’s products meet all necessary certifications
Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and certification agencies
Ensure timely submission and approval of homologation and compliancy documents
Review and evaluate test equipment to ensure it meets regulatory and product testing requirements.
Set specifications for new test equipment needed for homologation processes
Order and oversee the installation and Project
Project Quality Management
Develop and implement project quality management plans and processes
Monitor and control project quality to ensure products meet specified requirements and standards
Conduct regular reviews of project deliverables
Implement corrective actions to address any quality issues or non-compliances
Ensure quality risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated throughout the project lifecycle
Compliance, Documentation and Communication
Communicate quality and compliance status, issues, and risks to senior management and stakeholders
Provide regular updates on homologation and project quality performance
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for homologation and quality management processes
Develop and manage a structured reporting system to track homologation status, quality metrics, and project progress
Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, compliance status, and quality issues
Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders. calibration of new test equipment
YOUR PROFILE:
Completed technical university degree (Master's/Diploma) or a comparable qualification in engineering, quality management or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment
5+ years of leadership experience
Demonstrated passion for our products and industry
Proven ability to develop and execute effective action plans, manage project deliverables, and present results clearly and concisely
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of identifying complex issues and developing effective solutions
Strong strategic and conceptual thinking abilities
Experience leading and developing global teams, preferably in an international setting
Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach and the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
Hands-on mentality and comfortable working in a dynamic, agile environment
Willingness to travel internationally as required
Fluency in English (written and spoken); German language skills are a plus
