Role responsibilities

The successful candidate will split their time between audit and accounts assignments, gaining valuable experience while leading client engagements and mentoring junior team members.

• Leading audits from planning through to completion, including on-site fieldwork and reporting
• Preparing and reviewing year-end statutory accounts in accordance with UK accounting standards
• Managing a mixed portfolio of audit and accounts clients across different industries
• Supervising and reviewing work prepared by junior staff, providing coaching and feedback
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building relationships and handling queries
• Ensuring work is completed on time, within budget and to a high standard
• Supporting senior management with ad hoc assignments and business development activities

Candidate requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified with strong experience in audit and accounts preparation
• Confident leading audits and producing high-quality financial statements
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to client service
• Experience managing junior team members and reviewing their work
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments
• A team player who enjoys taking responsibility and contributing to wider firm goals
