Einleitung

We are looking for a

Student Research Assistant (gn)

for the project Cross-partisan conversations" , part-time for 10-15 hours/week, to start in January 2026. The contract is limited to 6 months.

Ihre Aufgaben

•  Work with conversation diaries, transcripts, audio, and video recordings to build structured datasets
• Develop and run analyses on conversational dynamics (e.g., content, tone, turn-taking, sentiment, behavioral indicators)
• Assist in coding and classifying conversation features (text-based and audio/video-based)
• Conduct descriptive and exploratory empirical analysis in Stata, R, or Python
• Contribute to documenting the workflow and preparing summary materials

Ihr Profil

•  Currently enrolled at a German university and studying a relevant field
• Proficiency in Stata, R, or Python (at least one; more is a plus)
• Strong analytical skills and interest in applied empirical research
• Ability or willingness to work with multi-modal data (text, audio, video)
• Reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
