Introduction

The DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 325 „Assembly Controlled Chemical Photocatalysis“ represents a consortium of 18 principal investigators who run a total number of 21 collaborative projects in the field of light-induced reactions. It is the declared goal of the CRC 325 to traverse new frontiers in photocatalysis for organic synthesis by designed control of catalyst-substrate interactions. For the collaborative research projects of the CRC, we are looking for Doctoral Researchers (m/f/d).

Tasks

  • Develop your research project within the vibrant field of photochemistry
  • Build your personal international network to academic and industrial leaders in the field of photochemistry
  • Grow your individual skills in the activities of the integrated research training group
  • Complete your dissertation in a short time at one of the universities in Regensburg, Munich, Leipzig, Saarbrücken or Mainz

Profile

  • Natural science degree, area depends on the skill demand of the individual research project
  • Very good performance in your studies and a great enthusiasm for science
  • Social competence, open-minded and flexible
  • Good English communication skills and enjoyment in dealing with people in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to work in a team, eager to acquire new knowledge in interdisciplinary research projects

Research activities of the CRC 325 embrace synthetic methodology, stereoselective synthesis, coordination chemistry, spectroscopy, and computational/theoretical chemistry. All research projects are highly interdisciplinary and provide you multifaceted scientific training opportunities.
