The Position

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to take on the role as Head Development Established Dosage Forms in our esteemed pharmaceutical company. Tasks & responsibilities

• In this role, you will take the lead in developing Pharmaceutical Drug Products (New Chemical Entities - NCE), guiding the process from lead candidate selection through formulation and process development to the manufacturing of clinical trial materials. Additionally, you will support packaging development for selected dosage forms.
• You will ensure compliance with the defined Quality Target Product Profile (QTPP) and meet global regulatory requirements.
• Innovative formulation and packaging concepts for established dosage forms like tablets and solutions will be evaluated and implemented under your guidance.
• As part of your responsibilities, you will characterize formulation and packaging concepts while integrating advanced scale-up models and Quality by Design (QbD) elements.
• To enhance development approaches, you will apply Process Analytical Technologies (PAT).
• Your leadership skills will shine as you provide training, supervision, and guidance to your team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Technology, Life or Chemical Sciences
• Extensive experience and expertise in Pharmaceutical Drug Product development (NCE) of multiple dosage forms, and related areas such as Manufacturing, Analytics, and Regulatory Affairs
• Proven track record of successfully developing products
• Long-term experience in leadership and management of direct reports
• Experience in project management
• Experienced in leading teams in a global, cross-functional environment, with frequent interaction with internal and external stakeholders involved in Drug Product development
• Fluency in German and English is mandatory
