For our bilingual Secondary School, we are looking for a qualified and committed teacher of English and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) for an immediate start.

Your area of responsibility

• teaching English in the Secondary School (from Grade 5 onwards)
• teaching Theory of Knowledge in the IB DP (Grades 11 and 12)
• focusing on student learning and development, extending and supporting as required in order to help students to reach their potential
• collaborating closely with other teaching staff across the Secondary School
• participating actively in conferences
• communicating with parents and guardians

Your profile

You have

• a teaching qualification for English in the Secondary School and experience of teaching English classes aimed at students with highly proficient language skills ('English A')
• a good understanding of the Theory of Knowledge curriculum in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP)
• strong IT skills for effective use of our modern learning environment
• English language skills at native-speaker level
• knowledge of German at level B2 or a willingness to improve towards this level
• personal qualities that motivate and inspire the students
• open-mindedness, flexibility and the ability to work well in a team
• a high level of commitment
