On behalf of the Vesuvius EMEA region, Vesuvius Europe GmbH is seeking to fill the following position at the earliest opportunity:
Account Manager Aluminium, Nordics (incl. Iceland) plus UK (all genders)
Possible Locations for your new adventure: Norway, Sweden, UK, North Germany
Grow and maintain Vesuvius business with Aluminium accounts in the region, generate new product and business growth ideas, based on customer needs and feedback, drive business growth idea implementations. Travelling about 50% of time in the long run, initially – higher, as needed for business development.
Your Role at Vesuvius
Dimensions of Position:
Key Accounts responsibility
Aluminum customers (incl. Primary and Secondary Cast Houses and Alumina refineries) in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, UK, Ireland. About 40 accounts (18 main / large ones).
Key Accountability / Responsibility:
Achieving and outperforming sales targets (both revenue and volume) through maintaining current business, developing new accounts, strategically identifying customers’ needs and developing them into business opportunities. Developing and maintaining relationships with key contacts (both technical and commercial) at target customers.
Maintaining / improving company’s profitability through best use of resources
Fully complying with all Company and Customer Site Health & Safety regulations and associated systems and procedures
Providing project and trial management on customer sites (with the support of M&T colleagues as needed)
Demonstrating sales and technical expertise in relevant areas
Training the clients in the correct use of products (with the support of M&T colleagues as needed)
Resolving customer’s challenges
Reporting and market analysis, including intelligence on competitor’s activity
Collaborating efficiently with other functions within the Company: Operations, Marketing & Technology managers, R&D, Global Product Directors, Customer Support Representatives, etc.
Participating in the trainings conducted by the Company
Training and mentoring junior staff when needed
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Technical Engineering / Materials Science or equivalent (desirable)
At least 5 years of Sales experience in furnace refractory linings and / or consumables sales (e,g, fluxes, CFFs, other Cast House consumables) to Aluminum customers in the Nordic market
Excellent customer relationship building skills with trust and open dialogue at the core
Good understanding of customer hierarchy levels, key decision makers and protocols
Ability to understand the value a product is bringing to the customer and ability to quantify that value
Good product knowledge, especially for furnace lining solutions, but also for furnace and Cast House consumables
Ability and willingness to learn about new products, processes, etc.
Professional level of English. Knowledge of one or more of the local languages in the area of responsibility is a plus
Proficiency in using IT equipment and systems, particularly MS Office
A valid work permit is mandatory in the country where you wish to work
