About us
JustPlay is looking for a Product Analyst to join our Rewarding Systems domain: the team responsible for ensuring that our coins, earnings, and rewards systems create sustainable long-term player excitement.
Come join the company that’s transforming the world of mobile gaming by making playtime truly rewarding. At JustPlay, we’re on a mission to build a fairer, more sustainable Play-to-Earn ecosystem—one where players are rewarded for their time, and engagement drives continuous growth.
Since launching in 2020, we’ve grown into one of the world’s leading loyalty gaming platforms, with over 25 million downloads and 500,000+ daily active users. Bootstrapped and headquartered in Berlin, our global team spans 20+ countries and is united by a belief in fun, fairness, and meaningful impact.
We’re leading a massive shift in the gaming industry—but it’s still early enough for you to make your mark. At JustPlay, you’ll have the freedom to shape bold ideas, drive real impact, and be part of a company that’s not just growing fast—but growing right.
Tasks
You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering and Data teams to design, evaluate, and evolve a reward engine that feels fair, engaging, and continuously motivating.
This role requires a unique blend of analytical rigor, mathematical modeling, and deep curiosity about player behavior, value systems, and long-term sustainability. You’ll bring clarity and data-driven decision-making to one of the most important components of our product experience: how players earn, feel rewarded, and stay excited over months and years.
Plan, define, conduct and evaluate A/B tests and experimentation on reward mechanics (earning rates, conversion points, reward schedules).
Deep dive into user behaviour data to unearth usage patterns to understand motivation and reward-related churn.
Identify root causes of reward system issues (inflation, imbalance, low engagement, misaligned incentives)
Develop and evolve tracking concepts to ensure we collect accurate, reliable and actionable data
Define metrics and build reporting and visualisations that provide clear and accurate data to business stakeholders
Promote data literacy, advocate for data usage and data driven decision making
Think creatively to find optimal solutions to our complex, often unstructured problems
Use Machine Learning algorithms for tasks such as user segmentation, regression and classification
Work closely with our Data Engineering and Analytics teams to improve our data products, all leading to quicker and accurate outcomes
Collaborate with our Engineering teams to define the data that we need to collect to get the best outcomes
Your profile
This job is not for you if
You don’t mind doing analyses whose results will be ignored
You take pleasure doing repetitive tasks that do not require you to think or be creative
You don’t care about business goals and measuring impact
It doesn’t bother you to build tools that no one will use
You’re comfortable using methods without understanding the science behind them
You don’t like solving complex problems
You are not looking for an environment that challenges you
You don’t ask challenging questions
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in an analytics role, preferably in product analytics focusing on consumer-facing products (Mobile gaming experience is a plus)
Proficient in SQL and Python, including packages such as Pandas and Numpy
Experience with collaboration tools such as Google Colab
Experience defining and implementing metrics and building clear and beautiful visualizations using BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or Metabase
Hands-on experience with data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake
Familiar with mobile analytics platforms (e.g., Adjust, Amplitude, Firebase) for measuring user acquisition and engagement
Comfortable conducting statistical analysis and modeling using statistical best practices
Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data
Excellent communication skills and proven experience collaborating with business stakeholders
