Your responsibilities

As an IT Infrastructure Expert, you will be our expert and point of contact within the organization for all questions and solutions relating to our global network infrastructure and our data center in Bonn.

You will develop our IT infrastructure both independently and as part of a team, administer it yourself, and integrate existing and new systems and solutions.

Through your active participation as an infrastructure and integration expert in digitization projects within the organization, you will make a significant contribution to the success of each project.

With your expertise, you will also advise our departments in Germany and internationally on IT infrastructure-related topics.

• Strategic development, hands-on administration, maintenance and monitoring of IT infrastructure solutions:
• Global network infrastructure for secure and reliable communication between country and project locations abroad, the data center in Bonn and the Berlin office.
• Data center in Bonn with network and server infrastructure (UCS) and backup
• Storage area network (SAN) of the data center in Bonn and driving forward the standardization of the (global) IT infrastructure through independent development and communication of guidelines and standards
• Independent development and realization of solutions for the secure and high-performance integration of external systems, networks and applications in cooperation with IT security experts
• Independent development of IT infrastructure and integration solutions as part of digitalization projects and project-related implementation
• Advising and supporting specialist departments at home and abroad and digitization projects on IT infrastructure-related topics

Your profile

• A University or College degree in computer science, IT security or a comparable subject area
• Several years of experience in the design and management of IT integration and infrastructure solutions
• Specialist knowledge of network and server technology as well as storage networks
• Basic knowledge of IT security
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High willingness to learn and motivation to develop the organization's IT infrastructure
• You recognize the growing value of data in your field to incorporate data-driven approaches into your work
• Very good English skills, written and spoken. German skills would be an asset.
