YOUR NEW CAREER

As part of AP Sensing, you will immerse yourself in a fascinating world: Together we take measurement technology to the limits of physics. We use fiber optic cables as sensors and build measuring devices and software that measure temperatures and acoustic signals along the fiber with meter precision.

Your Responsibilities

• You will take a key role in developing our secure edge platform for real-time data processing applications.
• You will design, implement, and evolve robust, and observable platform components, APIs and SDKs for developing, deploying, and operating real-time applications.
• You will work closely with Data Science, ML Engineering, Firmware, Software Engineering, Project Engineering, and Operations to derive clear requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• You will continuously evaluate and introduce relevant technologies, tools, and architectural patterns to keep the platform aligned with industry best practices and future needs.

Your Profile

• You have a technical degree, ideally in computer science or comparable.
• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering including substantial work on asynchronous, distributed, real-time systems.
• You have excellent programming skills in development in at least one statically typed language (e.g., Rust, C++, Go or similar) and write high-quality, maintainable code.
• You have experience in designing and operating secure distributed systems, including topics such as concurrency, fault tolerance, messaging/streaming, and observability.
• You quickly understand complex technical and domain problems and can break them down into clear, pragmatic solutions.
• Ideally, you have experience implementing or operating distributed streaming platforms or IoT systems, with a strong focus on data safety, data integrity, and performance at scale.
• Ideally, you have experience with Python, including AI/ML workloads and MLOps topics such as model deployment, monitoring, and data pipelines.
