We are looking for an experienced and motivated (Senior) Manager Business Development – Defense & Dual-Use Technologies to join our team.

Quantum Systems specialises in the development, design, and production of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS). The company’s range of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) sUAS are built to maximize range and versatility and to provide operators with a seamless user experience. By integrating cutting-edge software capabilities, like edge computing and real-time AI-powered data processing, Quantum Systems is building next-generation UAS for clients in defence, security, public sectors.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

In this role, you will drive growth in the fields of UAV (hardware, software, AI) and dual-use technologies, with a particular focus on procurement processes for BAAINBw and the German Armed Forces. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with leading OEMs in Europe.

• Business Development: Identify and acquire new business opportunities in the UAV and dual-use technology sectors, focusing on BAAINBw and German Armed Forces procurement processes.
• StrategicPartnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, particularly leading OEMs, to foster collaboration and mutual growth.
• Procurement Processes: Manage and navigate complex procurement procedures while ensuring compliance with BAAINBw and German Armed Forces requirements.
• Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market and competitive research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Proposal Management: Prepare and submit high-quality proposals and bids aligned with client needs and company objectives.
• Project Management: Oversee and execute business development projects, ensuring adherence to budget, timelines, and quality standards.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to align business development strategies with organizational goals.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on business development activities, progress, and outcomes.

What you bring to the team:

• You have a degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is an advantage.
• You have at least 3-5 years of experience in business development, with a focus on UAV and dual-use technologies. Experience with BAAINBw and German Armed Forces procurement processes is a significant plus.
• You possess a deep understanding of military systems, ideally in UAV hardware, software, AI, and software-defined defense solutions.
• You have a proven track record of success in business development and strategic partnership management.
• You have excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills.
• You are proficient in navigating complex procurement processes and regulatory requirements.
• You have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• You have experience in project management and proposal writing.
• You are fluent in German and English.
