Your tasks

About this role:

As part of the Record to Report (RTR) team you will be part of a talented team that handles accounting activities in our Berlin Office. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will support by delivering monthly financial data, as well as performing regular balance sheet profit and loss flux analysis. The following activities are part of your area of responsibility:

• Perform Month end closing , Conduct in-depth variance analysis and financial investigations across critical accounts (e.g., payroll, leasing, accruals, fixed assets), delivering strategic insights and recommendations to management.
• Contribute to R2R process optimization and efficiency gains through standardization and automation. Support these initiatives by using data-handling and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI).
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level team members, fostering skill development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the R2R team.
• Manage intercompany accounting and consolidation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Oversee payroll accounting and related reconciliations, collaborating closely with the Payroll team to ensure accuracy and compliance.

What will you bring to the table?

• Relevant general ledger experience while working in a dynamic and multinational environment.
• Exposure to the use of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning Software) and MS Office (proficient in Excel).
• Experience with Workday and German/Austrian GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and/or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is a plus!
• Good organisational skills and the ability to efficiently manage priorities while meeting deadlines.
• You are a team-player with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for collaborating.
• You can set objectives, meet deadlines, and are detail-oriented.
• You are fluent in English (written and spoken). German is a big plus.
